Cover art for Mayer’s follow up to A Strange Arrangement, How Do You Do scheduled for 10/11/11 - Stones Throw

Good Chit: The Stuyvesants

So far they’ve had one release from last June called “Brooklyn’s Finest”, which I still find in my rotation today. The compilation consists of 25 instumentals, all dope, all containing a vibe that you could easily attatch to some of your daily go-abouts. Like for instance track 2 ‘Stuyvesant Swing’, would represent my theme music for grind mode, providing a zoned out bounce that somehow has a git’r done effect. Whereas 3rd track ‘Keep Dreamin’, feels like I’m waking up in the morning & getting ready for the 9-5. Haha. Just listen:

Dope Remix

Balam Acab remixes nostalgic 90′s jam ‘My Boo’ in dubstep style. Nice.

Lady Swag

Mara Hruby out of Oakland CA does a pretty cover of the Mos Def classic, ‘The Panties’. Melodic hypnotic chit.
